My First Food Sensitivity

So delicious.. Why doesn't my tummy like it?

I recently discovered that I have a food sensitivity. The problem is that I don’t know the exact ingredient or combination of ingredients that is causing the symptoms. The name of the tea that’s making me feel strange is “Goji Berry Green Tea”. Here are the ingredients:

Green Tea, Hibiscus, Organic Rooibos, Rosehips, Goji Flavour, Raspberry Leaf, Strawberry Flavour, Matcha, Licorice Powder And Citric Acid.

Sounds delicious right?

Unfortunately, I’ve consistently woken up in the middle of the night with nausea after drinking this as my bedtime drink.

My friend Danielle is going through a very demanding regimen of eliminating possible migraine-causing foods from her diet, and she wrote me the following:

“I bet you are allergic, or at least sensitive to the Goji berry flavoring! The tea has lots of ingredients, so it’s probably good it’s not the main one. I did a search and found this link, which makes me convinced you are sensitive to it: It’s so weird how food affects us. It makes sense. You really are what you eat!”

Do you know if you’re allergic to goji berries? If you’re a nutritionist, do you see any potential warning signs in the combination of those herbal ingredients? Thanks for any info!
